We, Levuro AG, Torgasse 4, 8001 Zurich (herein after called “Levuro “,“we“, or “us“), as operator of Levuro.com, the platform “Levuro Engage”, and the mobile applications “Levuro Engage”, take the protection of your personal data very seriously and stress transparency and the acceptance of our usage of personal data.

To make the data privacy statement easier to read we call the website, the platform and the apps together the “Services”.

This data privacy statement (“Statement”) informs you on what personal data we collect and how we use your personal data:
In chapter A, we identify the data controller and explain our processing of personal data if you are browsing our Services when you did not register or log in.
In chapter B, we inform you about additional processing of personal data once you register and log in to our Services.

A. Information concerning all users of our Services

1. Data controller
Data controller is Levuro AG, Torgasse 4, 8001 Zurich, that means the entity that runs Levuro.com the Services and collects, processes and uses your personal data in this regard.

2. General usage
If you choose not to share any personal data, we will not collect or store any of your personal data in connection with your visit on our Services except if you allow cookies (see sec. A.4.) or if you contact us.

If you do not allow cookies, you can always visit our Services and we won’t collect any of your personal data. Please note that some functionalities of our Services are not available without cookies.

We do not identify you with our log files, and solely use the log files to be able to analyze performance issues of our Services, and for statistical measures. We do it in order to optimize our Services technically as well as editorially.

3a. General information on cookies
Our Services operate with cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored to the hard drive of your device and is associated to your web browser.

3c. Analysis and reach measurement
We use tracking tools to analyze data traffic. For reach measurement we utilize certain tools that use cookies from third party providers.

These tools may collect and process your personal data. However, we mainly collect and process statistical data about the usage of our Services.

Below in Attachment – Cookies and Plugins you can find the tools we use for web analysis and reach measurement as well as how to deactivate them.

3d. Social Media Plug-Ins (Facebook, Twitter)
On some subsites on our Services you might find “Social Media buttons”. These are small buttons of the respective network that you can click to let others on those networks know that you like a certain content on our Services. The respective social networks provide these buttons.

4. Links to other websites
Our Services link to third party websites. Levuro has no influence on the processing of personal data on third party websites.

We recommend reading the data privacy statement of the respective provider for further information.

5. Disclosure to third parties and service provider
We may share your personal data to our service providers located worldwide like amazon AWS (hosting) , OneSignal (push notification service provider), Mailjet (mailing provider), Bugsnag (error tracking), Facebook login, Login (YouTube), Twitter Login. Acting on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, they support us in providing the Services (data processors).

We use youtube api services. For usage of your youtube Account the data privacy regulations and terms of service of youtube apply http://www.google.com/policies/privacy. In addition to Levuro’s normal procedure for deleting stored data, you can revoke the access of Levuro to your data via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Our service providers have implemented adequate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of your personal data. We have established the necessary adequate level of data protection with service providers which stay outside the EU/EEA (e.g. through Privacy Shield certification or EU-Standard Contractual Clauses).

If you access Levuro in our affiliates countries, you may share your personal data with them to provide the Services in their respective countries.

There will be no further transfer of your personal data to third parties other than our data processors.

6. Data security
Levuro has implemented adequate technical and organizational security measures in order to ensure the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resilience of processing systems and services as well as to restore the availability and access to personal data in case of incidents.

In any case, only authorized personnel can access your personal data, and only insofar as it is necessary in order to be able to perform the services aforementioned.

We transmit your data in an encrypted manner upon registration and also upon every subsequent login.

7. Duration of storage of personal data and right of information and right for objection
We do not store your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes specified in this Statement.

Once your personal data is no longer necessary we will either delete your personal data or – in case of retention duties – block your personal data and only delete them after the retention duties are fulfilled.

You can ask us with regard to the personal data we have stored about you any time or demand to correct, delete or restrict your personal data. In this case please write to:

You can submit the objection to the indicated address. Please note that in this case you will not be able to use certain services offered by Levuro.

You may submit a complaint to the competent data protection supervisory authority, i.e. the authority at your residence or work place if you think that the processing of personal data violates data protection laws.

Additional information for registered users You can use the Services as a registered user and use additional features.

The following applies in addition to what is described under A. above if you use our Services as registered user.

1. Registration and administration of your account
During the registration process, we ask you to provide personal data.

We require this registration data to provide you additional functionalities. We will use your registration data to administer your account with us and to provide the services and functionalities.

2. Registration via website or app
You can register to use our services directly on the website or our app. During the registration process, we collect the following personal data from you:

First name, surname, nickname, date of birth, residence, zip code, country, cell phone number, e-mail address and other electronic contact details.

The basis for the processing of your personal data is performance of a contract.

After sending the registration form you will receive an email in which we ask you to confirm your email address by clicking a link provided in said email.

After this confirmation, you have completed the registration process.

We store your personal data for this purpose until you cancel your account with us, unless we are required by law to store them for a longer period.

B. Registration & account setup via Facebook Connect or Google

You can also sign up for our Services using your Facebook or Google credentials (“Social Media Account”), if you have such an account.

You can register via your Social Media Account for the Services by clicking the relevant logo button.

You will then be forwarded to the relevant platform. After logging in or creating a new Social Media Account you can set your preferences in a next step.

Once you have clicked the button named “Log In”, you will be forwarded back to our Services and are now registered as a user with our Services.

If you are registered on our website with your Social Media Account credentials, we will only retrieve the data from your social media profile that is mandatory to provide our services to you.

This contains your first name, last name, birthday, gender, email address and user picture.

This data helps us set up your profile on our Services, which we will store for you.

Additionally, we will add to your profile information about whether you have allowed us to post in your name. The privacy policy of your Social Media Platform will inform you about any further processing of your registration by this platform.

1. Use data
We also process the information that you enter when logging on to our Services as well as data that is accrued technically when you use our Services (usage data) for the purpose of administering and providing the services and functionalities available on our Services.

Furthermore, we use your anonymized usage data to improve our services.

2. Interacting with Levuro using the functionalities on our Services
Once you are a registered user at our Services, you can use the functionalities available on our Services and interact with us instead of merely visiting the website or app.

In particular, we allow our registered users to comment and/or rate content published by Levuro or third parties (e.g. other users) as well as to participate in our forum. In some instances, you may provide content (e.g. storylines, images or videos you shot) to be published on our Services.

Interacting with us or third parties may involve processing of your personal data – for example, when you provide certain information or show them on an image, time of upload, pages you visit, comments you post, and so forth. For this purpose, we only use your personal data, provided actively by you, to provide the requested services. The basis for the processing of your personal data is performance of a contract.

Please remember that anytime you make personal information accessible online without restriction (be it in chat rooms or in forums), this information will be visible to others and unauthorized third parties can collect and use them. This means you may receive unwanted messages if you make personal information accessible online in public areas.

Please act carefully and responsibly at all times and keep your passwords and/or other personal information to yourself.

3. Disclosure of your account data to third parties
In addition to the disclosures described under A. above, we do not disclose your account data to a third party unless you have given us your prior consent. Third parties may be our subsidiaries all over the world.

We only disclose your personal data upon an order of court or an official directive.

4. About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy statement illustrates how Levuro processes the personal data when you use our Services. Levuro receives data through our website, applications, platform and shop.

The Services allow our customers to connect their social media accounts through APIs of supported social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.).

Additionally, our Services might connect to any applications developed by third parties that Levuro does not control or own that our customer want to have access to. This Privacy Policy does not include any content or information that you can view through the services on these supported platform or information you provide to the third party platforms using our Services.

Levuro cannot take responsibility for privacy policies of any supported social media platform or applications developed by third parties.

Please read the privacy terms of the supported social media applications and applications developed by third parties carefully.

5. Right for objection
Please understand that we can no longer provide services for which you must be registered once you make use of your right for objection above.

The privacy statement may be updated from time to time, please check back on a regular basis for changes.

You can deactivate the web analysis and thus avoid the data collection and data usage conducted during this web analysis measure.

Cookies used

In this older versions this was used in combination with the __utmb cookie to identify new sessions/visits for returning visitors.
When Google Analytics uses it, this is always a session cookie which it destroyes when the user closes their browser session.

__utmtThis cookie is used to throttle the request rate for the service. Limiting the collection of data on high traffic sites.__utmzThis cookie identifies the source of traffic to the site.

So, Google Analytics can tell site owners where visitors came from when arriving on the site.

b. Facebook Inc.

The data that this cookie produces is regularly transferred to a Facebook server in the USA. Facebook stores this data there and they might be connected to your Facebook profile data.

Potentially, this might generate a user profile on Facebook. In this case, it goes beyond the information you have voluntarily shared on Facebook yourself.

c. Twitter Inc.
Twitter is a micro blogging service of the American enterprise Twitter, Inc. (795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107). If you visit our Services and view a page that contains a Twitter button, your browser also builds a direct connection to the Twitter servers. Therefore, the button will load from there.

In doing so, you will transfer information on your access to our Services to Twitter. Even if you don’t log in, Twitter may be able to collect and store usage data. If you click a Twitter button our Services and tweet from its pop-up window, you send the information you tweeted to Twitter. In doing so, Twitter will then publish this information in your Twitter profile.

Google+ is a social network by Google. We have embedded the Google+ button on our Services. The button of Google+ is the one marked “g+1”. If you visit our Services and view a page that has the embedded Google+ button, your browser will start a direct connection with Google’s browsers.

Google loads the button from there. Therefore we have no influence on the amount of data that Google collects via the button.

According to information from Google, it doesn’t collect your personal data if you don’t click the button.

If you are a member of the social network Google+, and if you log into Google+ while visiting our Services, Google collects and process your IP address, among other data.

You can prevent the collecting and processing of data through Google. If you log out of Google+ (and all other Google services you might be logged into) before visiting our Services.
